Track this week is an ambient track I submitted for audiobulb recordings project ‘endless endless’ ( http://www.audiobulb.com/ - select ‘projects’), an endless mix of ambient recordings. This was recorded in a single take.

Track this week is the raw material for another finished track, which I coincidentally named “Bee Symphony”, way before Marcus Davidson had the idea.

Also would like to mention that this is track of the week #20. Whoo!

As a celebration for having their 1st anniversary, experimental ambient netlabel Distance Recordings has released the above mix of releases from the 13 albums released so far…including fellow cello droners Bleeding Heart Narrative’s wonderful release This Octopus Is Going to Eat Your Face.

Here’s the recording of the live show I did with my friend John Berendzen as the opening act for Faith Helma’s show “Undine” on Friday June 5, 2009.

I am pretty much just playing uneffected (although with some pitchdelay in sections) and John is playing his synths that are tuned using just intonation and looping both of us with his 8-part looper whose lengths correspond to numbers in the harmonic series.

June 5 (this friday) - I am playing a show as an opener for Hand2Mouth Theatre’s production of Faith Helma’s song cycle inspired by Undine. This is with my friend John Berendzen - we are doing a piece of his making called The Parasympathetic Orchestra - it will involve me and his 8 part looper whose intervals are set at harmonic lengths…so it will be a hypnotizing drone show for sure. 7:30 @ Milepost 8, 900 NE 81st. $10 at the door.

July 2 - I am playing a solo show as part of Paint & Copter’s ongoing curated series Hexasion. This should be pretty special as I’ve been working on sound reactive visuals in Processing for this show. 7ish @ Someday Lounge, which is at 125 NW 5th. This one is free.

Another pixel guitar track this week.

Apologies for skipping last week (it was memorial day).

I have been feeling jittery all weekend (due to neighbors playing brazillian hardcore for 8 hrs last night). I wrote this to help me fall asleep tonight. Single pass with my new looping/drone setup, with minimal effects.

I’m not sure what to say about this one. It reminds me a bit of liturgical music, what with the organ sounds and all.
